A few words...	After it had been in the making for 15 years this magnum opus was released and up to now is among the most successful Indian movies ever made. Since the original version had only some scenes in colour the film was re-released in a coloured version in 2004. Together with Pakeezah it is the most outstanding costume drama of Bollywood's golden era.
